Whether you’re wanting to find a bit more calm, clarity and focus or are interested in exploring meditation teachings in more depth we hope that The Meditation Cafe can offer you the support you need.
The Meditation Cafe is a place where you can relax, be yourself, and connect - with others and with yourself.
Online Meditations and Training
The practice of meditation is not difficult. Finding the time and motivation to do it, however, can be extremely hard!
One of the most effective ways to help maintain a regular schedule of meditation is to practise with others. For this reason The Meditation Cafe offers an online space to come together every morning and evening during the week. Especially in these times when it has been difficult to meet in person and when routine can be hard to find, this can be a great way to motivate ourselves to practise. Connecting with some friendly faces is also a great way to start the day.
Everyone is welcome to join, whatever your experience. There will not be a lot of instruction given during the daily practices - mainly we just gather to practise together. If you are new to meditation and would like more of an introduction to how to meditate then please get in touch and we will find time before one of the sessions to introduce the basics.
In addition to the daily practices we also offer a monthly gathering to explore the practice of self-compassion.
All of these meditations and trainings are offered free of charge so that anyone can join. If you are able to support our work, however, you are very welcome to make a donation or, even better, become a supporter.

Raja Yoga and Awareness Meditation:
Stillness in Movement
Weekend workshop with Daniele Rabozzi and Steve Cope.
How does yoga practice bring us to stillness?
How do we respond to the movement of our mind in meditation practice?
In our conventional understanding we tend to have an all or nothing approach to movement and stillness. Either there’s movement or there is stillness. But as we explore deeper, using the ancient practices of meditation and yoga, we start to find a more profound understanding of how the two can co-exist and even support each other.
In this way, yoga and meditation, two seemingly different paths, can lead us to the same place. Here, there is no need to make any effort, the rest happens by itself.
Each day we will offer a complete yoga practice followed by a teaching, reflection and meditation helping us to come to know our own mind—its activity and essence. There will be a short break each day as well as time for questions and discussion. The practice will develop over the two days and so it is recommended that you attend both days.
Places are limited so please book soon if you would like to join us.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Practising Self Compassion
We all need and deserve compassion, yet the person we can be hardest on is often ourselves.
Practising self-compassion can help us relax our harsh inner critic and reconnect us to our natural resources of empathy and kindness. It can help us to bear difficult situations with more patience and inner strength, leading to more resilience, confidence and contentment. We also discover that by taking care of ourselves in this way we are more open, ready and capable to practise compassion for others.
Monthly Gathering
Once a month we will be exploring the practice of self-compassion in a bit more depth. We will:
—introduce some of the theory,
—learn a few simple practices,
—check in with how our practice is progressing and where we might be getting stuck
—support each other to make the practise of self-compassion part of our everyday experience.
Residential Retreats
Steve will be holding meditation sessions on the Mandali Experience retreats at the beautiful Mandali, in Italy . Designed for everybody, the experience combines guided meditation, yoga, periods of silence and group sessions. It is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to disconnect from the daily stresses of life and discover their own natural flow.
